PRIYANKA KAMBLE

CASE HISTORY
She was living in the servants room along with her Father and younger Sister in Models Complex where we live in Taleigao Market in the year 2003. Her Mother left her when she was a small girl and the Father took care of both the girls and he worked as a sweeper in our complex. The complex people came and approached us to help Priyanka and the Father mentioned to us of his inability to care for the girls he requested us to take his daughters into our home. The Father was asked to leave his job since then and now he works in different hotels in Margao and does not have a proper place to stay. He is very happy for his two girls who are with us for many years. He comes to see them at least once a month. We took Priyanka into our home on the 29th of March 2004 along with her sister. She is 23 years old today.

Education: She finished her Masters in Counselling Psychology from Carmel College, Margao by securing 74% overall and now she is working on a temporary basis in a School as a Teacher and Counsellor, she is also trying at different places for a better job where she would have job satisfaction, she is also appointed as the counsellor for Care and Compassion homes and stays in the girls home. She wants to be a counsellor and Teacher.

Training: She was sent for a Computer course for 8 months at the M.I.C.E Centre for computer studies situated in Panaji, Goa. She is capable of working on the Computer in the home and she also helps and teaches other Children in the home to work on the computer. Today she has her own laptop and works on it a lot.


Singing and Music: She loves to sing and play music, so now we have provided an Organ where she practices her music and sings for programmes and functions. She has sung in the School choir. She has also sang on Radio Indigo FM Goa during Christmas in 2012. She performed on a Television Programme also for Christmas 2012. She had the privilege of singing in a group at the Taj Vivanta five star hotel in Panjim a couple of years back. She was also in the Christmas choir with others with uniforms and performed at different places singing Carols all over in North Goa.

Dance and Acting: She is a natural actor and loves to dance, she has performed in large gatherings at the YMCA National conference in Goa and also at the Raj Bhawan in Goa for the Governor and family, She has also performed in her School and College functions.

Medical: She has been given a certificate by the Doctor that she is fit and fine and very healthy. She has no complaints whatsoever. We bring the Doctor to our home for a regular check up and when needed we also have taken her to Goa Medical College hospital for treatment and to the Dental department for dental care.

Workshops: She has taken part in several workshops like art work, painting, drawing, clay work, bead work, theatre, dance, photography, singing, etc which are held in our home. She also took part in several drawing and painting programmes arranged by the Sunaparanta at Altinho and Bookworm at the Panjim Municipal garden.

Games: She loves to play all the indoor games and specially good at Table Football which we have in the home. She has tried skating, sailing and likes both. She will be trying to learn swimming this year at the Campal Sports Complex.

Aim: She wants to be a School Teacher in the future and will do her Teachers Training course after her post graduation course.

SONIYA KAMBLE

CASE HISTORY

Education: She finished her Degree in Commerce from Dempo College of Commerce with 64% and has got admissions in Goa University to do her Masters in Commerce for two years. She wants to do banking.

Singing and Music: She loves to sing in parts and play music, as she was interested in music we arranged a music teacher to come alternate days during the year 2012 to teach her music with notes. Now she is confident and plays the Guitar very well on her own. We bought a new guitar for her. She had the privilege of singing on Television and on FM Radio Indigo last Christmas 2012. She played the guitar and sang at the Raj Bhawan Banquet hall for the Governor and his family. She also played Guitar and sang in Taj Vivanta a five star hotel in Panjim. She was selected to play the Guitar and sing for their college farewell programme that was organised in their college last year. She plays her Guitar in the Church and loves to sing.
 
Games:
She learnt to skate and also tried sailing at Dona Paula beach. She is now going to learn swimming at the Campal Sports complex. She also plays all the other indoor games at home.

Medical: She has been given a certificate by the Doctor that she is fit and fine and very healthy. She has no complaints whatsoever.

Aim:
She wants to be Banker in future and so she is doing her B.Com and also answer several Bank Entrance Exams.

SUVARNA GUNNAM

CASE HISTORY


Suvarna comes from the slums of Chimbel. Her Father died when she was very young and her Mother was not able to take care of her in the home so she was sent to a Children’s home in Goa for a few years, then she joined us on the 25th of May 2009. She comes from Andhra Pradesh originally, but was born in Goa. She is 21 years old today.

Education: She finished her Degree in Science, Bio Technology from Dhempe College with 65% and got admissions in Goa University to do her Masters in Bio Technology for two years. She wants to do research work in the future.

Aim: She always had this aim to be a Doctor. She was sent for a Career Guidance Course in Panjim which helped her to focus on her further studies. After which she decided to go for her Biotechnology course.

Talents: She loves to sing and is good in the Choir. She was in the college choir to sing for different functions. She is a very good actor and performs at different programmes in the home and in College. She is also a good Orator. She also likes to draw and paint.

Radio and Television:
She had the privilege to sing on Radio Indigo FM Goa during Christmas time. She also was in the Choir to go to different places to sing Christmas carols, she had the privilege to perform on a local Television channel in Goa during Christmas time. She was taken to sing in Taj Vivanta a five star hotel in Panjim during Christmas time a few years ago.

Sports: She learnt to skate on a board and was good at that. She also got a privilege to be trained at the Dona Paula Sailing club, She did very well in her sailing classes. She enjoys playing sports in College also.

Medical: Every Year she is checked by our Doctor and she is very healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has given her a certificate. She has no other complications.
 
Workshops:
She has taken part in all the workshops held in the home every Sunday, she likes to draw, paint and do other art work. She also had the privilege to go to the Sunaparanta art and culture centre to do some painting work.

Other Activities: She was selected by the School to go for the all Goa spelling competition that was held in Goa, she did well but could not win prizes. It was a great experience for her to participate in the inter School all Goa competition


PRIYANKA SRIVASTAV

CASE HISTORY

Priyanka is originally from Chandigarh and we came to know her through her Guardian Mama or Uncle who works in Goa as a Security. Priyanka does not have both her parents as they are believed to be dead when Priyanka was very young. She has one brother and one sister who are also staying with us in our home.
Priyanka came and joined us on the 6th of May 2009. She is 17 years old today. She has her grandmother in Chandigarh who visited her a couple of times in the home and her Mama also comes to see her  sometimes as he is working in Goa.

Education: She finished her High School, 10th Standard successfully and got admissions for her 11th Higher Secondary in Santa Cruz Higher Secondary School, she has taken commerce.

Aim: She wants to be an Air Hostess or a Stewardess in the future.

Sports: Priyanka likes to play all different indoor games and her favourite is monopoly. She learnt to skate using the skate board and she did well compared to other girls. She likes it very much too.

Medical:
She is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that she is fine and given her a certificate to say that and she has no other complications.

Workshops: She has taken part in all the workshops that were organised by our home. She is good in painting and drawing. She likes to sing and dance too. She does perform for some of our programmes at home. She also has a habit of reading books everyday specially in the night before she goes to sleep. She took part in the Workshops organised by Sunaparanta and also Bookworm in Panaji, Goa.

CHANCHAL SRIVASTAV

CASE HISTORY

Chanchal is originally from Chandigarh and we came to know her through her Guardian Mama or Uncle who works in Goa as a Security. Chanchal does not have both her parents as they are believed to be dead when Chanchal was a child. She has one brother and one sister who are also staying with us in our home.
Chanchal came and joined us on the 6th of May 2009. She is 14 years old today. She has her grandmother in Chandigarh who visited her a couple of times in the home and her Mama also comes to see her sometimes as he is working in Goa.

Education: She is doing her 8th standard in Santa Cruz High School.

Aim: She is still not sure but for the moment she wants to be an Officer when she grows up.

Sports: Chanchal likes to play all different indoor games and her favourite is monopoly.

Medical:
She is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that she is fine and given her a certificate to say that and she has no other complications.

Workshops: She has taken part in all the workshops that were organised by our home. She is good in painting and drawing. She likes to sing and dance too. She does perform for some of our programmes at home. She took part in the Workshops organised by Sunaparanta and also Bookworm in Panaji, Goa.

YALAVA SANAMMNAWAR

CASE HISTORY

Yalava is originally from Karnataka but is born in Margao, Goa. She has both her parents but they were not able to take care of her so her Mother approached us to admit Yalava into our home. We took her in our home on the 1st of April 2012. She is 18 years old today. She was staying in another Orphanage for several years and as the Mother had to pay money on a monthly basis she could not afford to do that so she brought her to us as we don’t take any money from the Children. Her Mother is working with us for about 4 years now in the Girls home. She has two younger sisters who are also staying with her in the home. Her Father works as a Labourer in Porvorim, Goa.

Education: She has successfully completed her 10th standard High School and got admissions for her 11th Arts, in Santa Cruz Higher Secondary School.

Aim: She wants to become a Nurse when she grows up in the future.

Sports: She likes to play different indoor games and her favourite is monopoly.

Medical:
She is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that she is fine and given her a certificate to say that and she has no other complications.

Workshops: She has taken part in all the workshops that were organised by our home. She is good in drawing and art work. She likes to dance. She does perform for some of our programmes at home. She took part in the Workshops organised by Sunaparanta and also Bookworm in Panaji, Goa.

BABY SANAMMNAWAR

CASE HISTORY

Baby is originally from Karnataka but is born in Margao, Goa. She has both her parents but they were not able to take care of her so her Mother approached us to admit Baby into our home. We took her in our home on the 1st of April 2013.  She is 16 years old today. She was staying in another Orphanage for several years and as the Mother had to pay money on a monthly basis she could not afford to do that so she brought her to us as we don’t take any money from the Children. Her Mother is working with us for about 4 years now in the Girls home. She has two younger sisters who are also staying with her in the home. Her Father works as a labourer in Porvorim, Goa.

Education: She is doing her 8th standard in Santa Cruz High School.

Aim: She is not sure at the moment what she wants to become in the future.

Sports: She likes to play different indoor games.

She has both her parents but they were not able to take care of her so her Mother approached us through a friend of ours in Vasco to admit Shilpa into our home. We took her in our home on the 7th of April 2011. Now she is 13 years old. She has one younger sister who are also staying with her in the home. Her Father does not have a job but her mother works as a maid in a home in Vasco-da-Gama, Goa.

Education: She is doing her 6th standard in Ezekiel Methodist School, Bambolim.

Aim: She is not sure at the moment what she wants to become in the future.

Sports: She likes to play different indoor games.

Medical:
She is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that she is fine and given her a certificate to say that and she has no other complications.

DEEPA HADPAT

CASE HISTORY

Deepa comes from a very poor family and has no Father and her Mother does not take care of her and her younger sister, so the Grandmother brought her to the home on 21st May, 2014 and she is 9 years old. Her younger sister also stays with us in the home. She was referred to us by a friend of ours in Calangute.

Medical: We had her medical check up done and she is healthy both physically and mentally.

Education:  She is doing her 2nd standard in Ezekiel Methodist School, Bambolim.
She likes to Dance and Sing.

AKSHATA HADPAT

CASE HISTORY

Akshata comes from a very poor family and has no Father and her Mother does not take care of her and her older sister, so the Grandmother brought her to the home on 21st May, 2014 and she is 8 years old. Her older sister also stays with us in the home. She was referred to us by a friend of ours in Calangute.

Medical: We had her medical check up done and she is doing fine both physically and mentally. She is happy and got adjusted in the home.

Education: She is doing her 2nd standard in Ezekiel Methodist School, Bambolim.
She loves to Dance.

SHERYL TALPATI

CASE HISTORY

Sheryl comes from a poor and broken home and has no Father and the Mother was unable to look after her so through an NGO called Child Line, she came to our home on the 20th of May 2015. She is 10 years old.

Education: She is doing her 5th standard in Ezekiel Methodist School, Bambolim.

Medical: We had her medical check up done and she is doing well and healthy.
She likes to Sing and Dance.

JEENA DALAI

Case History: Jeena comes from a broken home and her father left her and went, her mother was taking care of her and because of poverty and hardship a friend of ours approached us to give her admission in our home so we took her into our home on the 15th of July 2017. Her Mother now works in the Girls home as a Cook. She is 8 years old.

Education: She has got admission in Ezekiel Methodist School and is doing her 2nd standard, she is slowly doing well in her studies and got adjusted to the home along with other Children.

Health: She is healthy as we had her general check up done by our family Doctor.

 

SAIMON TALPATI

CASE HISTORY

Saimon comes from a poor and broken home and has no Father and the Mother was unable to look after him so through an NGO called Child Line, he came to our home on the 19th of May 2014. He is 8 years old.

Education:He is doing his 2nd standard in Ezekiel Methodist School, Bambolim.

Medical: We had his medical check up done and he is doing fine both physically and mentally.

He likes to Sing and Dance.

RAJESH HEMBRAM

CASE HISTORY

Rajesh comes from a very poor home and belongs to a tribe. His parents live in Pernem, Goa and are milking cows. He has one older sister and the parents being uneducated had a desire to see that his son gets some education and as they could not help his studies they approached us through a social worker whom we know in the month of April 2015. He joined our home on the 20th of June 2015. He is 8 years old.

Education:He is doing his 3rd standard in Ezekiel Methodist School, Bambolim.

Medical: We had his medical check up done and he is doing well and healthy.
He likes to sing and play.

SUSHANT CHOUDARY
CASE HISTORY

Sushant comes from Calangute area, he has no Father but his Mother was finding it difficult to take care of him so heard about us and approached us to admit him into our home. We took him in our home on the 3rd of May 2015, he is 12 years old today. He was born in Bambolim, Goa. His Mother works as a maid in different homes.

Education: He is doing his 7th standard in Santa Cruz High School.

Aim: He wants to be a Professional Footballer in the future.

Sports: Sushant likes to play Football, he also plays other indoor games.

Medical: He is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that he is fine and given him a certificate to say that and he has no other complications.

Workshops: He has taken part in all the workshops that were organised by our home. He is good in painting and drawing.

AJIT KUMAR

CASE HISTORY

Ajit is originally from Tamil Nadu but was born in Porvorim, Goa as his Mother lives in Porvorim. He has no Father, but as his mother could not take care of him alone she admitted him into our home on the 20th of May 2006. Today he is 21 years old.
His younger brother also lives with him in our home.

Education: Ajit is now doing his final Second Year Bachelor of Arts in Dhempe College of Arts and Science.

Aim: He likes to be work in the airline industry. That has been his goal for many years.

Sports: Ajit loves to play Table Football, he is also a champion in Chess not only at home with all the other children but even with guests and friends. He was the runner up in the School tournament last year. He loves to play other indoor games also. He also learnt to do skating and was good at that. He had the privilege of going to the Dona Paula sailing club and learnt sailing in the sea. He also likes to cycle a lot. He also got a chance to go to the Goa Sports Complex at Campal to learn swimming. He could learn and do well. This year Ajit represented his college in Chess and played the all Goa Chess Tournament and out of all the colleges they got 6th place in the whole of Goa.

Medical: He is fine both physically and mentally. He is very healthy. There are no complications.

Workshops: He is good in art work, painting, and drawing. He takes part in all the activities organised in our home. He also took part in the sunaparanta work shop.

SUSHANT PARWAR
CASE HISTORY

Sushant comes from Calangute area, he has no Father but his Mother was finding it difficult to take care of him so heard about us and approached us to admit him into our home. We took him on the 25th of May 2010, he is 14 years old today. He was born in Bambolim, Goa. His Mother works at the beach applying Mehandi for tourists and sells scarf there.

Education: He is doing his 9th standard in Santa Cruz High School.

Aim: He wants to be a Professional Footballer in the future.

Sports: Sushant likes to play Football, he also plays other indoor games and also table football. He learnt to skate using the skate board. He got a chance to learn Sailing in the sea at the Dona Paula sailing club. He did well in that.

Medical: He is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that he is fine and given him a certificate to say that and he has no other complications.

Workshops: He has taken part in all the workshops that were organised by our home. He is good in painting and drawing.


SONU SRIVASTAV
CASE HISTORY

Sonu is originally from Chandigarh and we came to know him through his Guardian Mama or Uncle who works in Goa as a Security. Sonu does not have both his parents as they are believed to be dead when Sonu was a child. He has two sisters who are also staying with us in our home. Sonu came and joined us on the 6th of May 2009. He is 15 years old today. He has his grandmother in Chandigarh who visited him a couple of times in the home and his Mama also comes to see him sometimes as he is working in Goa.

Education: He is doing his 9th standard in Santa Cruz High School.

Aim: He wants to be an Automobile Engineer in the future.

Sports: Sonu likes to play Football, he also plays other indoor games. He likes to skate using the skate board.

Medical: He is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that he is fine and given him a certificate to say that and he has no other complications.

Workshops: He has taken part in all the workshops that were organised by our home. He is good in painting and drawing. He likes to sing and dance too. He does perform for some of the programmes at home.

HEMANT

CASE HISTORY

Hemant does not have his Father and his mother was not able to take care of him and his other siblings. He has one sister and three brothers in the family. He came to our home through the recommendation of a friend of the Director and joined the Boys home on the 1st of June 2016. He is studying in 2nd standard and is 8 years old. He is a good study and got adjusted well in the home with others.

Education: He is studying in 2nd standard in Ezekiel Methodist School, Bambolim, Goa.

Aim: He is not sure what he wants to be yet.

Sports: He likes to play all indoor games like carom, cards, and also loves football.

Medical: He is healthy both physically and mentally. The Doctor has said that he is fine and given him a certificate to say that and he has no other complications.

Workshops: He likes to paint and draw.

Singing and Drama: He likes to sing and also act in dramas which they done a couple of times in the home.

JOSEPH PAL

Case History:

Joseph comes from a broken home and his father left him and went, his mother was not able to take care of him because of poverty and hardship, a friend of ours approached us to give him admission in our home so we took him into our home on the 25th of June 2017. His Mother now works in the Girls home as a Cook. His sister also stays in our girls home. He is 4 years old.

Education: He has got admission in Ezekiel Methodist School and is doing his Lower K.G, he is slowly doing well in his studies and got adjusted to the home along with other Boys.

Health: He is healthy as we had his general check up done by our family Doctor.
